1994 was a busy year for Steve. He recorded a couple of albums which were released on Delmark Records.  Gotcha! by Barkin' Bill Smith features some excellent vocal and is complimented by Steve's fantastic fretwork.  His playing really smokes on the intro to Someday After Awhile .  He also cut an incredibly wicked version of Earl Hooker's Blue Guitar.

The second release in 1994 features Steve with an All Star lineup and the result was Al Miller's Wild Card. He sang a couple of really nice songs, including Luther Tucker's Falling Rain.
